8 Hawthorn Elephants have been rescued and brought to The Elephant Sanctuary with each arrival being broadcast live on the Sanctuary’s elecam, http://www.tappedintoelephants.com.
Billie and Frieda were the last pair to arrive at The Elephant Sanctuary at approximately noon CST on February 9th. Coincidentally, this was also the one year anniversary of Lota’s death from advanced tuberculosis. Most, but not all, of the herd are now home at TES.
Nic and Gypsy remain at Hawthorn Corporation still awaiting rescue. They must not be allowed to languish in the Hawthorn warehouse any longer. You can help by raising awareness of their situation: Please write letters and contact the media and make your voice heard.
